Day 1:

You must travel along Route 32 to Guápiles in order to reach the embarkation point, continuing to Cariari, Palmitas and finally arriving to Puerto Lindo. You must leave your car in a private parking lot, which must be paid by you. The cost is approximately $ 7.00 per day. After that, you will be greeted by the person in charge of taking you to Barra del Colorado. You must board the boat at 10:00 at Puerto Lindo. It is going to be an approximately 45 minutes’ boat ride, touring the nature and the views that the area offers, on the route, you can hopefully observe flora such as: Forests or wetlands dominated by palm (yolillal, Raphia taedigera), Gamalotal and Flooded Forest. As for the Fauna in the area you can observe several species of aquatic birds including herons, crocodiles, heron fish among others. Upon arrival at Barra del Colorado, you will be transferred to the hotel to enjoy a delicious typical lunch. In the afternoon, at 4:00 pm you will have a guided walk to the town of “Barra del Colorado Sur”, walking through the picturesque “streets”, the guide will show you the most picturesque streets of the area and the guide will tell the history of this fishing village as you enjoy the local charming. Then, take a boat back to your hotel. Dinner will be enjoyed in a local restaurant called Brisas del Mar. Overnight at Kawe Lodge.

Day 2:

Breakfast at your hotel. Your guide will arrive around 7:30 am. Then you will head to Laguna Pereira. This is a 4 hours’ boat tour. The area is surrounded by forests and wetlands. It is also home to spider, howler and white-faced monkeys. There also many species of waterfowl, which are attracted by the amount of fish in the waters of this place. It is the natural habitat of the Manatee, which hopefully can be found on the way enjoying the water or looking for food. You could also spot some crocodiles and some other animals hidden in the forest. Relax and enjoy the nature while navigating the lagoon. Lunch is included at Kawe Lodge. Afternoon at leisure to rest enjoying the hotel, go for a walk on the hotel trails or take an optional activity of the area on your own. In the evening you will have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3

Early breakfast at the hotel. The boat back to Puerto Lindo departs at 9:00 am. Take the boat and then continue your vacations.
